Why Retire in Malaysia

Climate

Penang has a tropical climate, warm year round, with distinct wet and dry seasons. The dry season is from November to March, and the wet season or ‘monsoon’ is from April to October. There is rain year round which keeps the island very green and lush. In the dry season rain is sporadic and short, and in the wet season regular evening downpours are intense but again short. In Penang you’ll enjoy the sunshine almost every day with temperatures ranging from 23 to 34 degrees, the latter being unusually hot.
